About DPS Kamrup
Delhi Public School is a co-educational, Senior Secondary School catering to students from Pre-nursery to XII and is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).Through a learning experience that is intrinsically holistic, and that looks forward to enrich the child both academically and personally, the school strives to cultivate leaders of tomorrow.
Nestled in the scenic Baihata Chariali area of the most beautiful green city of Guwahati, the school caters to students that largely are from Kamrup Rural and Kamrup Metro.The lush green campus provides various avenues for the students to gain access for various academic and co-curricular support. The extra-curricular and co-curricular opportunities forour students are expansive. Students have the chance to participate in competitive sports and athletics, science exhibitions, literary activities and other competitions. To inculcate leadership quality in the students, we have the seniors guiding junior students and helping the teachers in the smooth functioning of various school activities. The school aims at nurturing the innate potential of the students and mould them into passionate, committed, competent, sensitive, value-based individuals with leadership qualities.

The school has a vast field, courts for Basket Ball, Volleyball and Archery; facilities for Table Tennis, a Football field, nets for Cricket and a sprawling brand new state of the art swimming pool. All sports activities are conducted under the supervision of qualified coaches of high repute. We hope our students will be able to make good use of the facilities and bring laurels at the National and International level.
The Performing Arts and the Fine Arts, both function with the understanding that we are teaching and nurturing tender minds, that need to be developed as critical thinkers in a dynamic and ever-changing world. These sorts of opportunities provide students for creative nurturing of their inner creative self, and expression of their subtle mind-their intellectual, aesthetic and emotional consciousness.
The process of creative expression through dramatics, music - both vocal & instrumental, dance-traditional, drums, guitar –helps inculcate self-discipline, confidence, positive body language and better inter –personal behavior. The school strives to involve students in various gainful activities which eventually will lead to acquisition of real-life knowledge.
